CRRC ZELC donates 3 000 protective suits, 50 000 FFP2 masks and 100 000 protective masks
to Austrian health and charity organizations.
At present, while China´s epidemic situation is improving and people start resuming daily life, the number of cases in other countries around the world continue to increase. The corona-virus has become a global challenge.
On March 20, CRRC ZELC Verkehrstechnik GmbH donated 3 000 protective suits, 50 000 FFP2 masks and 100 000 protective masks to a number of Austrian health and charity organizations.
The donation ceremony was attended by: Franz Schnabl (Deputy Governor of Lower-Austria), Otto Pendl (Vice President of ASBÖ), Li Xiaosi (Chinese Ambassador to Austria), Gao Xingle (Counsel of Economic Affairs), Dr. Thomas Szekeres (President of the Vienna Medical Association), Dr. Christoph Reisner (President of the Lower-Austria Medical Association), Dr. Clemens Martin Auer (Member of the Austrian Ministry of Health), Johannes Bucher (Johanniter), Manuel Weinberger (General Secretary of the Malteser Hospital), and Qiang Chen (Managing Director of CRRC ZELC Verkehrstechnik GmbH).
Mr. Qiang Chen, Managing Director of CRRC ZELC Verkehrstechnik GmbH, states:
“The virus knows no borders, hard times reveal true friends. At the time of the outbreak in China, the Austrian government took the lead in providing emergency supplies such as facial masks and protective suits to China. As currently the epidemic situation in Austria is worsening, CRRC ZELC Verkehrstechnik GmbH, as a company registered in Vienna, Austria, acts on behalf of its parent company CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. (CRRC ZELC) – the core subsidiary of CRRC Corporation – and actively responds to the call of the Austrian government and the Chinese Embassy in Austria to contribute its resources to the fight against the pandemic. Our company strictly follows the relevant corona-virus prevention regulations imposed by the Austrian government, fully implements various preventive measures, and does its utmost to prepare anti-virus equipment to stop further spread of the virus. While ensuring daily operations, the company donates a prepared batch of anti-virus protection equipment to the following organizations: the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Österreichs (Austrian Workers´ and Samaritans´ Association, ASBÖ), the Austrian Red Cross, the Austrian Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe (St. John Accident Assistance Organisation, JUH), the Medical Association of Vienna and the Medical Association of Lower-Austria. CRRC ZELC wishes to provide the medical staff with protective equipment, so as to enable them to treat patients without concern.”
Through this donation, CRRC ZELC expresses its solidarity towards Austria and all residents of this country. By implementing a series of scientific epidemic prevention and precise controlling measures, the pandemic will surely be overcome.
